Sewing Tip for the Month
Thank you to Threads Magazine for this great idea. If you need to enlarge a pattern or add seam allowance to a commercial pattern, why not use a compass? You know, the one we used in high school for geometry class. Open the compass to the width you need and drag the pointer along the cutting line of the pattern. This will allow the pencil to mark the new seam lines. This method is fast and is perfect for straight as well as curved lines--no measuring involved!!
